{accents}

So I took another little quiz. This one tells you what kind of accent you have, and it got mine exactly right.

What American accent do you have?

Your Result: The West

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you’re a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent.

The Midland

Boston

North Central

The Inland North

Philadelphia

The South

The Northeast

So I thought that was pretty fun! Random I know, but fun.

Let’s see . . . what else has been going on. I swear all we do is work and watch the Olympics. Then we go to bed, wake up, work, then watch more Olympics. It’s been a lot of fun. I didn’t expect we’d want to watch so much of it when it started, but we seriously watch it every night!

There is a very fun “Saturday Special” challenge going on at SM. You have to use the word “Remember” in your title. This is what I scrapped for it.

This is my mom on our big family trip to DL back in Jan. of ’07. That trip means a lot to me and I want to always Remember it so this challenge was perfect for this photo!

There’s also a Tuesday Template Challenge starting today, hosted by yours truly! 🙂 So if you want a free template from me, go check out my challenge! 🙂

I created the template from one of my own LOs, but this LO I totally scraplifted from one of Britt Girls, Kelsy. So thanks Kelsy, for letting me make a template from what is essentially YOUR LO. haha

Here are a few more LOs I’ve scrapped recently but haven’t posted here.

I did this one for Bree’s speed scrap last week! It was very fun!

This one was for a DIS challenge! (Hi DIS girls!)

  1. beautiful layouts. I don’t know how you put all those elements to gether and yet it look so awesome! I am soooo boring in comparision.

  2. I did the quiz, too, and it was right for me — Philadelphia! I thought it was funny that was even a specific category of its own on the quiz. Fun quiz. TFS!

  3. I did the quiz too. Here I thought I’d have a Western accent, but I have a midland, no accent. And I’ve never lived in any of those states. For the majority I’ve lived in Cali (like totally, dude) and NM.

  4. HA HA… this was fun! I was “The Inland North” and said you must hear, “Are you from Minnesota” alot. Which I do hear when I go south! And yes, we do say Minne SOta… and we also say, “ya” and “you betcha”. We also make fun of ourselves for it. Too fun! Thanks Britt!

  5. well, I took your little test and it said I get asked if I’m from Chicago? How did they know??????? Fun, thanks for posting.

  6. I’m from Savannah, GA and here’s my results! Fun Quiz!

“You have a Midland accent” is just another way of saying “you don’t have an accent.” You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.”
