In less than an hour I’ll be on my way to the Endodontist to get my root canal. OH JOY! Thanks for the tips and words of comfort people! I’ll definitely be taking my iPod – that sounded like a great idea, since part of what’s so horrible about dental work is the sound! I’ve loaded my little pink shuffle full of music from my “happy place” (Disneyland). Hopefully it will help take me there and away from the drilling!!! (I am a tiny bit excited for the gas!)
Well, I guess I better go eat and get ready. They told me to eat before because I’m going to be so numb, I’m not going to want to eat for a while. Sigh . . .

good luck Britt! I have to have two done when i get dental insurance someday and Im so not looking forward to it either! Let me know how it goes and if my terror is unjustified.

Good luck Britt!!! Really though, I had a root canal and I would much rather have that than a filling!!! It was amazing and pain free. As soon as it was finished I could eat immediately on that side! FABULOUS:) I am a BIG chicken too at the dentist…I get the kiddie treatment. *HUGS*

Hope it went well! When I had my wisdom teeth taken out in February-it was like a little vacation! I slept and rested all day and no one bothered me. I thought it was wonderful. lol.

I have to say the dentist “is not my friend”..lol. I haven’t had to have much done either, but it still isn’t my favorite! I used to work in a dentist’s office and learned right away it was NOT for me! I hope it went smoothly and that you’ll be at the speed scrap Thursday night! =)
Hope you are feeling ok after your root canal. I have had a few (ok like 4 or 5) and need another one. They are not awful just costly, even with insurance.
Oh yeah… Adam is the same as Josh — he goes and has 1 maybe 2 cavities I go and need a filling (cracked tooth), root canal and two cavity fillings!
Oh well what can one do. I definately got my moms teeth!
