whazzzup?!

Let’s see – first things first. Tomorrow I have a stinkin’ awesome collab. kit coming out with a STINKIN’ awesome designer (if you can find her blog, you might be able to figure out who she is!!). And I can tell you right now that you’re all going to love it! I’m so excited to release it, I can hardly stand it!! haha Here’s a little peek to tide you over ’til tomorrow morning!

YIKES. I just realized I haven’t blogged since last Friday! Sorry ’bout that folks. It’s been a very busy week. Between the 4th, picnics with friends, dentist appointments (hopefully my last ’til Nov.), Girl’s Movie Night, Josh’s birthday yesterday, I’ve sorta been running around like a maniac.

Like I said – yesterday was Josh’s birthday and we had such a fun day!! I got up and made pancakes and turkey bacon and set a cute little table outside on our patio – complete with Happy Birthday banner. We ate together and enjoyed the beautiful morning until Josh had to leave for work. I cleaned up and scrapped and worked until Josh came home around 12:45. Luckily he was able to only work half a day!! More time to play! I made lunch and we ate and relaxed. I asked Josh what he wanted to do and he said “nap”. Well, I was all for that!! So we took a ridiculously luxurious mid-afternoon nap together. THAT NEVER HAPPENS!! It was delicious and so nice.

Then we got up and both played on our computers a bit until it was time to leave for his surprise evening activities. We drove to Salt Lake City and had dinner at one of our fave places, Happy Sumo!! YUM. Then went to the Planetarium for a U2 Laser Show! Hahaha! It was a lot of fun.

On our way home, we got treats at Sonic.  When we got to the house, we lit off Josh’s birthday fireworks. A few years ago I gave Josh a firework (just a very large fountain that went off for a long time and was lots of fun) and we enjoyed it so much, that I did it again this year (I might have to make this a tradition)! Although we felt a little loud and that we were waking up the neighbors, it was really fun to light ’em off in celebration JOSH! hahaha Then it was onto the couch for So You Think You Can Dance before bedtime.

I think Josh had a happy birthday. I tired to make it as fun and relaxing as possible. 🙂 And the great thing is that his Birthday Boating Bash I’ve planned with both our families is this Saturday up at the lake! So, its like he gets to have a “second birthday”!!

Let’s see. Are there any scrapbook pages I haven’t posted here yet? Oh yes, there’s a few from last week. I haven’t scrapped anything this week except a page with my new kit coming out tomorrow! I’ve just been too busy.

Anyway – here is my page for the new “My Story Matters” challenge. It’s to scrap about Summertime as a kid. For me – summertime meant BOATING time.

Well, I’ve gotta run. Gotta get ready (yep, here I sit at 10:15 and I am still in my pjs – the joy of working from home), get a bunch more work done, run errands, meet Josh, my SIL and nieces for lunch at the park, the list goes on and on and never ends! haha
