I decided to use the Project Life – or Pocket Style – to create a weely digi-journal of 2013. I mentioned this in a previous post but back then I was only a few weeks in. Now, after 9 weeks, I’m OBSESSED. I love putting these pages together every week. AND I LOVE that this year of our lives will be so well recorded.
I do a 2-page spread for each week. The format of the “pockets” changes from week to week depending on what photos I have and what I feel like doing. I try to keep embellishments and “fluff” to a minimum. I spend most of my time arranging the photos and writing the journaling. I am HOPING to get faster as these pages as I get a better workflow figured out.
But – here are my first 9 weeks in case you are curious how it’s going! This is what I do every Sunday now . . .

I’m putting all my pages into a Flickr set, in case you want to see them all together again or see more in the future.
How are you documenting your year?
I want to do this so bad but honestly, it terrifies me!! I'm skeered haha. Plus I feel like I just got the hang of traditional digital scrapping, I'm worried about taking on a project too big that I'll end up feeling guilty about not finishing. BUT on the other hand, I take TOO many photos to NOT do it! ah!
Love what you have so far! You've definitely packed in a lot of stories in those pages 🙂
Oh my precious love these are gorgeous!!! What a wonderful legacy Miss Scarlett will have to cherish forever!!! Great job, Britt!!!
Britt! How are you doing those barcodes on your layout? That is SO awesome and will make it interactive for people reading your book when its done! I must know! lol.
Ok Kayla its my new favorite thing EVER! I'm so obsessed with it. I'm going write up a whole post about it. It's super easy. It even works to hold your phone up to the screen and scan it!
Just posted about how to do the QR codes: http://brittishdesigns.blogspot.com/2013/03/using-qr-codes-in-your-digital-layouts.html#
