we’re homeowners!

Yesterday was a very monumental day in the life of the Leavitts!! Josh and I closed on our house!

We have been in the process of purchasing the house that we’ve been renting for about 2 and a half months. And finally, yesterday, June 30th, we closed! We signed our purchase contract on April 30, and it took 2 months to get to closing. It was the most complicated, crazy, frustrating, grueling process. But we closed on the very last day to get our tax credit! I can’t tell you how big a relief it was.

And the best part is, we don’t have to move to our new house. We already live here!

HOME * SWEET * HOME

I’m so excited to be a homeowner!! It’s something that we’ve wanted for so long. We just gave all our money to the lender though, so . . . we are feeling super poor at the moment. But once we’ve saved up a little money again, we have a list of updates and remodeling ideas a mile long to start on!! But I seriously cannot wait! It’s OUR HOUSE and we can do whatever we want to it. Wow – what a feeling!!

    Congratulations! I just purchased "Made in America", so hopefully that will help with a little change in the pocket! LOL!!! We're trying to sell our house right now, so I'm on the other end. How nice is it that you don't have to deal with moving though!?!?

    That's awesome! I remember how intimidating that STACK of papers were when we bought ours 15 years ago! Now I'd like nothing more than to sell this one and move into something that would better suit our current needs. =) I wish that were possible! Love all the pics and I'm sure a layout is soon to follow!! =)

    I'm so happy for you Britt! Your new house is super cute! My husband and I want to buy soon too. We have found a house we love but it's a little pricey so we are holding out for it to hopefully drop. Either way, we are excited at the prospect of buying so I can imagine the great feeling once you finally can say it's yours! We hope to see lots more photos! 🙂
